The IEEE Ad Hoc Committee on Information Technology was formed in 2013. Information related to the scope, membership, activity reports, and other information is provided here.
Access to Committee reports and related activity information is limited to members of the Committee, the IEEE Board of Directors, IEEE Directors-Elect, current IEEE President-Elect Candidates, members of the Management Council, and select staff.
Scope
Charge: The IEEE Ad Hoc Committee on Information Technology shall:
Advise and assist the IEEE Board of Directors, the IEEE Executive Director, and the IEEE Chief Information Officer (CIO) on matters relating to IEEE's Information Technology (IT) enterprise. It shall also:
- provide guidance on the development of an IEEE Information Technology strategy in collaboration with the IEEE CIO; include in this an analysis of opportunities and strategies to make IEEE-owned data more readily and extensively available for analysis, planning, and the potential development of new products;
- review and report periodically on the IEEE Information Technology enterprise architecture, operations, and performance;
- support other IT-related advisory activities as requested by the IEEE Board of Directors, Executive Director, or CIO.
