The IEEE Ad Hoc Committee for the Promotion of the Electro-Technology Industry in Latin America was formed in 2011. Information related to the scope, membership, activity reports and other information is provided here.
Access to Committee reports and related activity information is limited to members of the Committee, the IEEE Board of Directors, IEEE Directors-Elect, current IEEE President-Elect Candidates, members of the Management Council, and select staff.
The IEEE Ad Hoc Committee for the Promotion of the Electro-Technology Industry in Latin America shall investigate opportunities for development of the electronics enterprise in Latin America; develop contacts with interested parties from all sectors; recommend IEEE-related activities and promote them with the pertinent organizational units; develop and disseminate white papers for related projects; and solicit contributions within IEEE guidelines for activities that would advance the dissemination and practice of electro-technology in the region. It is expected that this committee will use the experience it has previously developed in Uruguay in order to better focus its efforts in 2012 primarily on other Latin American countries.
