IEEE History Center archival resources

Photographs: The Center maintains a photo archive that contains approximately 5,000 images of people, events, and technologies significant to the history of electrical technology. These photographs can be viewed as part of the IEEE Global History Network.

Finding Aids for Collections: Cataloged collections include:

  • Ellenberger Collection: Approximately 1 linear foot of papers, printed material and photographs relating to William J. Ellenberger and his career as a test engineer for General Electric.
  • IEEE Merger Collection: Approximately 5 linear feet of material relating to the organization, execution, and results of the merger of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) in 1963.
