IEEE Unveils Redesigned and Enhanced Online Newsroom

7 November—As part of the organization’s multi-year, multi-million dollar Public Visibility Initiative, IEEE unveiled a redesigned and enhanced online newsroom on Friday, 31 October. The updated newsroom will better convey IEEE-related news to journalists, members, volunteers, staff, and other groups interested in engineering, technology and computing. It also is the place where those interested can learn about how IEEE and its members are making a difference in the world by focusing on global “hot” topics, such as sustainable energy, education and healthcare.

The newsroom will be launched in two phases. Phase I includes the new look and feel, and enhanced content. Phase two plans include incorporating multimedia functionalities, such as clips from IEEE.tv; and long-term plans include blogs and social media applications.
