IEEE Expresses Condolences to Haiti

15 January –  IEEE is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and extensive damage in Haiti. We are concerned for the Haitian community worldwide and for our members in Haiti, and offer condolences to those who have lost loved ones and friends. To further relief efforts, IEEE encourages members, volunteers and staff to contribute to an established charity of their choice. We also ask our global network of technical professionals to consider lending their expertise in Haiti. Our hearts will be with the Haitian community as they begin to recover, rebuild and heal from this disaster.

As a result, IEEE has established the IEEE Haiti Engineering Educational and Professional Development Rebuilding Fund. It will match donations up to the first US$50,000 contributed.

Donate to the fund.
