Celebrating the 2013 IEEE Honors Ceremony Recipients Irwin Mark Jacobs

The accomplishments of IEEE Life Fellow Irwin Mark Jacobs, founding Chairman and Chief Executive Emeritus of Qualcomm, Inc., will be recognized with the IEEE Medal of Honor during the IEEE Honors Ceremony on 29 June in San Diego, CA. The event will be streamed live on IEEE.tv beginning at 7 p.m. PT.

A pioneering engineer and visionary business leader, Jacobs played a central role in advancing modern digital communications with revolutionary innovations critical to the development of today’s wireless communications systems. Jacobs received the award in person at a ceremony held on 6 June at Qualcomm headquarters.

A total of 23 technology giants will be recognized for their accomplishments in advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
