This page contains information on the IEEE TAB Nominations and Appointments Committee. For information regarding the reporting structure, scope, and functions of TAB and its committees, please refer to the Technical Activities Board (TAB) Operations Manual (PDF, 840 KB).
The TAB Nominations and Appointments Committee helps to identify nominees to stand for election to certain TAB organizational units (OUs). The Committee will also review the qualifications of those nominated for, or appointed to, membership of certain TAB entities.
NOTE: Due to the sensitive nature of its activities, this committee does not distribute agendas and minutes.
In accordance with IEEE objectives, TAB has established an equitable nominations and appointments process. The process has been developed to choose a slate of the best-qualified people for the various positions throughout the TAB organization. It was also developed to involve a wide range of members in the selection process. It is essential that all candidates nominated for office are highly qualified, and it is therefore essential that all members show great diligence and exercise judgment in making nominations.
Positions are being created and will be posted as they become available.
To view job descriptions, please see Technical Activities Volunteer Opportunities for a list of all IEEE Technical Activities (IEEE-TA) volunteer positions.
TAB Committee job descriptions will include the estimated time required for volunteers who are interested in serving as chairs and members of TAB Committees. A brief description of the committee will also be provided, along with the term of office and any other commitments known by virtue of holding that particular position.
