Dear Society and Technical Council Presidents,

NOTE: This is a pilot project to assist incoming Society/Technical Council Presidents. Notices and resources will continue to be added and your comments on how to make this resource more user-friendly are greatly welcome.

This webpage was created to give you a preview of the messages and requests you will receive during your term as a Society/Technical Council President. It was created by Technical Activities Department (TAD) staff as a resource for you to use throughout the year. The documents attached below are SAMPLES of the requests you will receive. Notices and Announcements

You will receive notices regarding the following Society/Technical Council Appointments.

You MUST appoint a Fellow Evaluating Committee Chair
IEEE Technical Society/Council Fellow Evaluating Chairs (DOC, 72KB) [Reply due 31 Jan].
You MAY appoint Corresponding Members to a number of TAB committees
Appointing Corresponding Members to TAB Committees (DOC, 30KB) [Reply due 15 Jan].
You MAY appoint a Society representative to the IEEE Council(s) for which your Society is a member
Member Societies for Each IEEE Technical Council (DOC, 42KB).
You MAY appoint a Society/Technical Council representative to the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology.
You MAY appoint a Society liaison to IEEE Women In Engineering
IEEE Women in Engineering Committee Society Liaison Appointments (DOC, 44KB).

You will receive periodic notices regarding Society/Technical Council financials.

As a Technical Activities Board (TAB) Member you may receive the following announcements.

TAB and a number of TAB committees meet three times a year (in Feb, Jun and Nov) during the IEEE Organizational Unit series.
Thirty days prior to a TAB meeting you will receive notice of any revisions to the TAB Operations Manual (PDF, 840KB) and all periodicals proposals (if any). They will also be included on the TAB agenda.
