What is a Society?

• A Society is made up of individual IEEE members and affiliates interested in a specific area of electrotechnology.
• Society benefits include publications, conferences, awards, lecturers, educational services and other types of technical development.

What is a Technical Council?

• A Technical Council is made up of individual IEEE Societies.
• These Societies, not individuals, are members of the Council.
• Council benefits primarily include publications and conferences.
