This is a set of training modules for Volunteers of IEEE.  These volunteer training modules are meant to help volunteers understand how IEEE functions and to explain the many services IEEE has to offer. 

 

Organization of IEEE

The IEEE is organized into:

  • three-hundred (300) local sections in 10 geographic regions;
  • one-thousand-five-hundred and seventy (1,570) local chapters;
  • thirty-nine (39) Societies and five Technical Councils that compose 10 technical divisions;
  • more than 1,430 student branches in 80 countries;
  • more than 350 student branch chapters.

IEEE activities are directed by three top-tier governing bodies:

The IEEE Board of Directors also maintains standing committees that oversee a variety of administrative, planning, and governance functions of IEEE.

The work of IEEE is led by the IEEE Presidents (President-Elect, Preseident and CEO, Past President), who are elected by the Membership and the IEEE Executive Director, who is the full-time Chief Operating Officer.
