This is a set of training modules for Volunteers of IEEE. These volunteer training modules are meant to help volunteers understand how IEEE functions and to explain the many services IEEE has to offer.
Standards
IEEE is a world leader in standards development. The following are facts about IEEE standards development.
- Developed in a unique environment that builds consensus in an open process based on input from all interested parties.
- IEEE has over 1,000 standards either completed or under development.
- Newest standards include wireless LAN/MAN, Broadband Over Power Lines, and Nanotechnology.
- IEEE works in partnership with other organizations on standards, including the International Electrotechnical Commission, International. Standards Organization, and International Telecommunications Union.
- IEEE offers opportunities to participate in standards development.
- IEEE Standards are available through IEEE Xplore.
