The training modules that follow are for volunteers of IEEE. They are meant to help volunteers understand how IEEE functions and to explain the many services IEEE has to offer.
A list of available modules and brief descriptions of the content they cover are found below. You can navigate through each module as follows:
You will learn about IEEE's history, organization, membership characteristics, and activities. It is recommended that you view this module first before continuing with other more specific topical modules.
You will learn about the benefits of membership, how special interest memberships can enhance your IEEE experience, the use of myIEEE as your gateway to member benefits, and demographic facts about IEEE membership.
You will learn about the portfolio of IEEE-sponsored programs that offer members group rates in insurance and discounts on travel, technology and home and office products and services.
You will learn about standards, how standards are developed at IEEE, the role of the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA), and how IEEE Members can participate in standards development.
You will learn about IEEE Educational Activities' projects and programs in accreditation, continuing education, and pre-university education.
You will learn about the value of IEEE content, what online products IEEE offers, and how to access IEEE content.
This module will understand the role of an IEEE booth staffer and it will also cover how to set up the IEEE booth at conferences and trade shows.
This module is the first in a series of modules designed for society and council (s/c) leadership to learn how to manage s/c finances. You will learn about the benefits of membership, how special interest memberships can enhance your IEEE experience, the use of myIEEE as your gateway to member benefits, and demographic facts about the IEEE membership.
This is the second in the series of modules on s/c financial management. You will learn about the s/c budgeting process, including roles and responsibilities, budget components, and parameters requiring s/c refinement.
This is the third in the series of modules on s/c financial management. You will learn about the financial reports available to societies and councils, how often they are issued, and what information can be learned from them.
