This is a set of training modules for Volunteers of IEEE. These volunteer training modules are meant to help volunteers understand how IEEE functions and to explain the many services IEEE has to offer.
Member Cost Worksheet
Each Society/Technical Council budget contains Cost of Membership information, which is broken down on the Member Cost Tab as follows.
Member Incremental Costs:
- Newsletter (if print copy bundled with membership)
- Bundled Publication(s) (print if applicable)
- Extras (if applicable, ie. CD with membership)
- Offsetting Advertising Revenue (if applicable)
Member Fixed Costs:
- Remaining Newsletter
- Remaining Bundled Publication(s)
- Xplore
- Direct Membership Allocation
Overhead Fixed Costs:
- Administrative Net (without Member Infrastructure)
- Committee/Other Net
Effective Dues Received Per Member (Adjusted for Reduced Rates)
The dues and expenses are driven by the budget. If a Society/Technical Council raises its membership dues, then their effective dues can increase based on their membership base. Also, if a Society/Technical Council increases costs for their newsletter, bundled publication, or another category, this can increase cost of membership.
