This is a set of training modules for Volunteers of IEEE. These volunteer training modules are meant to help volunteers understand how IEEE functions and to explain the many services IEEE has to offer.
What is TAB FinCom?
Technical Activities Board (TAB) FinCom is a committee of TAB that oversees the budgeting and financial operations of IEEE Societies and Technical Councils. TAB FinCom is responsible for the following.
- Develops Financial goals, procedures, and forecasts for TAB and Societies/Technical Councils.
- Implements the TAB budget.
- Advises and informs TAB Management Committee on all financial matters.
- Reviews and monitors.
- Financial performance of all TAB.
- Financial audits of TAB operations.
- Institute-wide financial actions that impact TAB and Societies/Technical Councils.
- Reviews and endorses at the following (Society/Technical Council and publications level).
- Internal vs external publication alternatives.
- Subscription rates for packaged products.
- Financial aspects of new periodical proposals.
- Society/Technical Council Fees, member and non-member periodical prices.
- Society/Technical Council Budgets (plus recommends actions).
- Reports financial status at each TAB meeting.
- Maintains the TAB Finance Manual.
