The Panel of Conference Organizers (POCO) is the annual educational and networking event for IEEE conference organizers. POCO provides an opportunity for organizers to learn about and discuss conference issues with IEEE staff, industry experts, and peers. POCO typically brings together more than 100 IEEE conference organizers and supporters, representing over 20 nations and many IEEE geographic units and Societies.

About POCO

POCO provides workshops, panel discussion, and breakout sessions on how to run a successful conference. Presentations are given by senior IEEE staff and volunteers, other conference organizers, and industry experts. The program is filled with practical advice and useful ideas.

When attending POCO, you can:

  • learn best practices for running a conference;
  • meet with IEEE staff and industry experts;
  • network with other conference organizers.

POCO sessions are different every year. Topics are selected to meet the needs of organizers for both large and small conferences. Locations are chosen to give organizers in different parts of the world a chance to attend, while also showcasing host cities.
