To be considered for the CPP, you must submit a Conference Publication Form at least six (6) months prior to the conference.
Post conference sales of proceedings are proceedings sold to libraries, corporations, government agencies, individuals and third party distributors. Individual conference proceedings titles are available for sale electronically through the premier IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.
Sales are handled on a centralized basis, with prices to members lower than those to other customers. Pricing is determined by the CPP. Customers can subscribe to various prepaid order plans (subscription packages) offered by IEEE. The CPP has a standing commitment to supply the proceedings of IEEE conferences to several hundred libraries worldwide.
Conference proceedings are also available through a create-on-demand process for single sales of CD/DVDs, USBs and print conference proceedings.
The CPP assures wide distribution of conference proceedings by providing abstracting and indexing of all individual conference papers for inclusion in worldwide databases.
The CPP makes every reasonable attempt to ensure that abstracts and index entries of content accepted into the program are included in databases provided by independent abstracting and indexing (A&I) services. Conferences should not specifically claim, reference, or guarantee indexing in any database. IEEE partners with independent A&I services who evaluate each conference for consideration in their online products. Each A&I partner makes its own editorial decision on what content it will index. IEEE cannot guarantee entries are included in any particular database.
In cases where conferences are co-sponsored with non-IEEE professional organizations, it is the responsibility of the IEEE Sponsoring Organizational Unit to negotiate an agreement with the outside organizations that will allow IEEE to handle the post conference sales of conference proceedings in the same manner as for conferences entirely sponsored by IEEE Organizational Units.
In some instances, it may be necessary to make exceptions to these guidelines in the interest of maintaining good relationships with these organizations. Such exceptions must receive prior approval through the CPP at confpubs@ieee.org.
