A registration service can help you manage advance registration, set up online registration systems, and run on-site registration. Many event-management companies include registration as part of their services.
Choose a type of registration service
You can choose to hire a full-service registration contractor or use an online event-registration tool.

Used by large conferences with complex registration requirements. |
| Online event-registration tool | Offers Web-based registration applications with online registration forms and database-management tools. The conference uses these tools to set up, customize, and manage the online registration process. |
Hiring a registration service can be a difficult task. IEEE Meeting and Conference Management (MCM) can make this easier by providing guidelines on how to choose a registration service.

Verify security standards
Whether you choose a full-service contractor or online event-registration tool, confirm that database security measures are in place to protect attendees' data and privacy. IEEE follows Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. Any registration or payment service or software that you use that holds credit card data must be PCI compliant.
Submit service contracts for review
The conference sponsor has to approve the contract with the registration service–management company before it is signed. IEEE provides a sample contract template that you can use when hiring a registration service–management company. You must send all contracts to IEEE Conference Contracts. IEEE reviews and executes all contracts with a value of US$25,000 or greater and will review contracts with a value of less than US$25,000 upon request.
