The APC is the senior volunteer grouping within IEEE for accreditation activities.
APC functions and initiatives
The APC is responsible for key accreditation initiatives including:
- monitoring trends in the substance and process of accreditation for engineering and computer science;
- overseeing IEEE involvement in accreditation organizations that serve various countries and regions;
- providing guidance on selected policy and internal issues to IEEE operating committees on engineering and engineering technology accreditation within the United States;
- providing organization and direction to a separate committee on accreditation in regions outside of the US.
