IEEE eLearning Library Society Information

Appoint a liaison to IEEE eLearning Library Editorial Board
The IEEE eLearning Library is inviting the participation of all IEEE Technical Societies as technical sponsors in the subject areas of interest to their members, regardless of whether their Society is financially sponsoring a tutorial. To facilitate this process, we are asking all IEEE Technical Societies to designate a liaison to the IEEE eLearning Library Editorial Board, who will serve as a nonvoting member of this Board. If your Society has not designated a liaison yet, please contact Jill Bagley, IEEE Educational Activities, with the name and e-mail address of that liaison.

Content partnership opportunities
Already have published educational content that could be adapted for use within the IEEE eLearning Library?  
Have recommendations for new tutorials for possible inclusion in the IEEE eLearning Library?

Use IEEE eLearning Library tutorials in your chapter meetings
IEEE eLearning Library Outreach Program - Organize Chapter educational events utilizing IEEE eLearning Library tutorials and local experts.  

Promote IEEE eLearning Library within your society
There are various ways that your Society can help promote IEEE eLearning Library such as:  

• including IEEE eLearning Library ads in your publications;
• posting information about IEEE eLearning Library and links to the catalog within your Society's Web site;
• distributing flyers at meetings and conferences. Contact Tara Gallus, IEEE Educational Activities about IEEE eLearning Library flyers customized for your Society's meeting or conference. 

The IEEE Online Education portal is a content management system specifically for elearning materials, including live Webinars. It is available free of charge to any IEEE organization that wishes to host content.

Key Features of the Portal

• Integration with IEEE Shop and the new IEEE iTunes U site, so content can be free or paid
• Host any file format or any combination of file formats, such as html, PDF, Word, Powerpoint, videos, etc.
• Have a custom url (for instance, http://society.ieee-elearning.org)
• Promote events through a calendar feature, RSS, and user messaging Navigation in more than 100 user-selected languages
• Host live Webinars for up to 200 people at no charge (fees for more than 200)
• Host user communities that are either open to all or restricted to those you allow in
• Allow users to print certificates of completion valid for professional development hours
• Everything can be controlled by an administrator you designate
