At the request of the American Red Cross, IEEE-USA's MOVE vehicle recently deployed to aid recovery efforts for West Virginia residents after catastrophic flooding. The MOVE project (Mobile Outreach VEhicle) sends IEEE volunteers to communities hit hard by natural disasters and infrastructure failures, providing technical expertise, rechargeable power banks, real-time survivor information, and Wi-Fi until services are restored.
