Cellular Wireless Evolution
The evolution of wireless communications from analog through 2G, 3G and now
4G has been phenomenal both from a technical and commercial perspective.
This presentation will review recent developments at 3GPP with a view to
understanding the performance, design and test challenges of the latest
technology. Particular attention will be given to how the pursuit of high
efficiency systems is impacting the cost and complexity of the wireless
ecosystem.
This webinar is scheduled for 14 July 2011 12:00 (EST). Register now.
Webinars in 2011 will continue to cover career development topics that will help IEEE young professional members learn skills to enhance their professional growth.
If you have suggestions on topics or would like to be involved in the development of IEEE GOLD webinars, either as a volunteer or a speaker, please contact gold@ieee.org.
Starting out in the early stages of a career, fresh out of university or graduate school, young professionals face a lot of new challenges. On top of learning how to apply engineering theory learned in school to the practical application of the workplace, young professionals must also learn to navigate through the complexitities of the professional environment.
The IEEE GOLD webinar program offers young professional IEEE members the opportunity to shorten the learning curve by providing training on important professional development topics not typically taught in engineering school. Experts cover subjects ranging from scientific writing to conflict management to emotional intelligence. These webinars are recorded and archived for on-demand viewing, following the live session.
The IEEE GOLD webinar program also offers sessions on technical topics. These technical knowledge webinars are presented by experts for young professionals interested in learning more about today's technology trends and technical developments. IEEE GOLD technical knowledge webinars cover topics ranging from nanotechnology to smart grid.
GOLD webinar sessions are capped at 200 seat capacity and attendance is based on a first come, first served basis.
For your convenience, all GOLD webinar sessions are recorded and available on-demand in the GOLD webinar archive following the live session.
You will need Adobe Flash Player 10 to view these webinars.
