2013 IEEE Presidents' Change the World winners

The winners of the 2013 IEEEXtreme Presidents' Change the World Competition have been announced. The competition recognizes students who develop unique solutions to real-world problems using engineering, science, computing, and leadership skills to benefit their community or humanity.

Over the course of several months, teams were asked to submit entries where they identified a problem and detailed how their project will positively impact a community or humanity. After two rounds of judging by IEEE volunteers, the top 15 projects were sent to the IEEE Presidents for a final round of judging.

This Grand Prize winner for 2013 is the team Low Cost Spirometer. The winning team received their award at the 2013 IEEE Honors Ceremony in San Diego, CA, USA, and a check for US$10,000.
