IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE student members – supported by an IEEE Student Branch, advised and proctored by an IEEE member – compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.

IEEEXtreme 5.0 official results
The IEEEXtreme 5.0 Global Programming Competition recognized some of the world's top up-and-coming programmers.
The grand prize winner was cuSAT from Chulalongkorn University of Thailand. They will receive an expenses-paid trip to an IEEE conference of their choice, anywhere around the world.
The second and third place winners were CeylonSpiro from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and USD from Belarusian State University, Belarus. Each team member received a netbook.
