IEEE Potentials Magazine is a publication dedicated to undergraduate and graduate students and young professionals. IEEE Potentials explores career strategies, the latest in research, and important technical developments. Through its articles, it also relates theories to practical applications, highlights technology’s global impact, and generates international forums that foster the sharing of diverse ideas about the profession.
IEEE Potentials is published bi-monthly, starting in January, six times a year. All IEEE members have access to IEEE Potentials articles in IEEE Xplore.
The purpose of the Potentials Editorial Board is to provide undergraduate and graduate students who are members of IEEE with an IEEE publication to address global issues, career development topics, business issues, essays, opinions and other topics, emphasizing the value of continuing IEEE membership after graduation. These are members of IEEE with an interest in the IEEE designated fields, including engineering, computing and information technology, physical and life sciences, or related professions. IEEE benefits and services provide them with opportunities for educational, technical, and professional development.
Oversight of the editorial content in IEEE Potentials magazine is managed by an Editorial Board of volunteer members. The board is led by an Editor in Chief (EIC) who reviews each issue, and includes six Associate Editors and Corresponding Editors who assist in the solicitation of articles, and a Student Editor to represent the student voice of IEEE.
