IEEE subject-matter experts work closely with the IEEE Legal & Compliance department to create and update contract templates that include clauses that protect IEEE. These templates serve as a starting point for any agreement, and changes may require legal review. Hotel and Meeting Management contract templates are located in the conference contracts template area. After reading the descriptions for each template below, if you are still unsure of which document to use, please contact IEEE Strategic Sourcing.
Templates
- Master Services Agreement (MSA): (DOC, 95 KB) To be used with most businesses performing services. Providers including Independent Contractors, Conference Management companies, Hotels, and Editors have specific templates that must be used.
- Master Services Agreement (MSA) Addendum: (DOC, 49 KB) To be submitted when an addendum is required to the Master Services Agreement.
- Statement of Work: (DOC, 58 KB) To be used to create a detailed description of the work to be performed.
- Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA): (DOC, 73 KB) To be used with qualified independent contractors (ICs).
- Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) Addendum: (DOC, 35 KB) To be submitted when an addendum is required to the Independent Contractor Agreement.
- Editorial Services Agreement: (DOC, 73 KB) To be used with editors. Editors do not write original content. "Editors" includes freelance editors. Note: Under Schedule A bullet 1, "The Editor is," you may write in "Article Editor" or the appropriate description.
- Editorial Services Agreement (University): (DOC, 73 KB) To be used for editors who are employed by a university. The contract is between IEEE and the university.
- Editorial Services Addendum: (DOC, 43 KB) To be submitted when an addendum is required to the Editorial Services Agreement.
- Non-Disclosure Agreement: (DOC, 40 KB) To be completed if confidential or proprietary IEEE information will be shared with a supplier.
- Addendum for Agreement funded by U.S. Federal Grant: (DOC, 57 KB) To be submitted when an agreement is being fully funded and supported by one or more US federal grants.
- Request for Proposal (RFP): (DOC, 127 KB) To be used as part of the Competitive Bidding Process to solicit structured responses from suppliers. All technology RFPs must be reviewed by IT.
