The Meeting Planning Services team is made up of dedicated professionals with backgrounds in association and corporate planning, and the hotel industry. The team's planners have either obtained, or are working towards the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) status. The MPS team retains a long corporate knowledge of IEEE, and are well versed in the varied structures of the individual Organizational Units.

Ingrid Donnelly, CMP, Senior Meeting Planner

Ingrid has been with IEEE since 2005, and brought with her a strong background in hotel industry experience and corporate meeting planning.

Ingrid started her career in the hospitality industry, working for two major hotels in New York City.  Her experience in catering and sales gives her an insider’s perspective when negotiating contracts and developing meeting specs.  Her six year hotel background aided Ingrid in a smooth transition to corporate meeting planning.

Ingrid traveled both domestically and internationally while organizing major pharmaceutical meetings and Pharma Congresses.  She has managed multi-day conferences, educational workshops, sales meetings, and many other events.

Since joining IEEE, Ingrid has honed her skills and learned the specifics of association planning and continues to grow within the organization.  Ingrid works closely with the sales meetings of the organization, and is a subject matter expert with international meeting planning.  In August 2009, Ingrid earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, a premier industry certification.

April Compertore, Meeting Planner

April brings a unique background to IEEE, having gotten her start as an actor in national touring musical theater productions before entering the world of event planning. Her desire for planning stemmed from personal experience as she carefully, meticulously, and enthusiastically planned her own wedding.

April's professional event planning career began with Incentive Travel Programs, a planning organization for top financial companies. She then transitioned to a firm where she traveled both domestically and internationally, organizing major pharmaceutical meetings and planning advisory boards, investigator meetings, and Pharma congresses, as well as non-pharma events.

April is currently working towards her CMP designation. When not in the office, you can find April on the stage singing and acting; or curled up at home with her cat, Kauai, named after her favorite destination.
