Planned Giving

Planned gifts are a powerful way for you to ensure the IEEE Foundation has the future resources it needs to support the next generation of engineers.

A planned gift typically comes from a donor's assets rather than income. The gift can either be outright or deferred. Either way, the IEEE Foundation will work with you to integrate your charitable objectives with your overall financial, tax, and estate plans to maximize benefits to both you and the IEEE Foundation. Typical types of planned gifts include:

Life Insurance
Name the IEEE Foundation as your beneficiary or donate an existing policy that you no longer need.
Will or Trust Provision
Make a charitable bequest to the IEEE Foundation in your will or living trust.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Receive income and arrange a future gift that will benefit the IEEE Foundation.
Retirement Plan
Avoid "double taxation" by naming the IEEE Foundation as beneficiary of your retirement plan.
Goldsmith League
Honors those donors who have made a philanthropic commitment to the IEEE or the IEEE Foundation with a planned gift.

The IEEE Foundation, Incorporated is an organization qualified under U.S. Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) and is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in the United States.
