IEEE publications having world-wide acceptance in various disciplines,
are a reputable source for publishing technical papers. The publication
of significant technical papers insures that the ideas contained
therein are available to a an appreciative audience. The IEEE is
committed to our members and that means we are committed to providing
them with the high quality literature. Articles in these publications
bring forth the author’s and co-author’s ideas, research
principles and findings to the engineering and scientific community.
Many organizations recognize the importance of publications by their
staff members and thus allocate funds for the dissemination of information.
Alternatively, authors may have other sources of funds to help promote
publication of their works.
EMB has implemented a system of voluntary page charges to help defray
publication costs that are incurred every issue. The standard rate
for the voluntary page charges is $110 per printed page. Voluntary
page charges are not mandatory but by participating in this option,
you will be entitled to 100 FREE black and white reprints with the
option to buy additional reprints at a reduced rate. Also each senior
author receives three copies of the publication plus each co-author
receives a copy. All copies are shipped to the senior author.
After your article has been accepted for publication and submitted,
the EMBS managing editor will estimate the total number of pages
your article will be, and send you the voluntary page charge forms.
(Please note that the actual number of pages may vary slightly due
to final sizing and insertion of illustrations.)
To order reprints of your article and/or pay charges, complete the
EMB Page Charge Form. Bulk copies are also available for Engineering
in Medicine and Biology Magazine by completing the IEEE EMBS Bulk
Order Form. Bulk copies are shipped via UPS or surface mail. Priority
or air freight delivery outside of North America is available at
the customer’s expense. We reserve the right to impose a 50%
surcharge for additional bulk copies ordered after the issue goes
to press.
