Please send a .pdf of Word file of each manuscript (including keywords and author biographies) and original figures suitable for reproduction to Janet Reed at j.l.reed@ieee.org. Manuscripts must be accompanied by a completed IEEE Copyright Form* (signed and dated), which can also be mailed or emailed. It will speed the publication process if authors’ biographies and photographs are included at the time of submission. Additional information for authors regarding manuscript format may be found on the inside back cover of any issue of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics.** All submissions will be reviewed in accordance with the normal procedures of the Journal.
All copyright forms should be mailed to:

Janet L.A. Reed
JSTQE Editorial Office
(Title of Topic Area)

Express mail packages should be sent to the attention of Janet Reed (phone +1 732 562 3893). Call or send an e-mail to j.l.reed@ieee.org if you have any questions about this issue.
For all papers published in JSTQE, there are voluntary page charges of $110.00 per page for each page up to eight pages. Invited papers can be twelve pages in length before overlength page charges of $220.00 per page are levied. The length of each paper is estimated when it is received in the Editorial Office. Authors of papers that appear to be overlength are notified and given the option to shorten the paper. Additional charges will apply if color figures are required.

IEEE/OSA JOURNAL OF
DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY
Prof. Shin-Tson Wu, University of
Central Florida, USA,
Editor-in-Chief

IEEE/OSA Journal of Display Technology, sponsored jointly by seven IEEE Societies and the Optical Society of America, is a new archival journal devoted to the timely dissemination of new results and discussions on all aspects of display technologies, i.e., understanding the basic science and engineering of devices, to device design and fabrication, driver and interface electronics, system design, applications, and human-factors topics. Clearly, these topics span many disciplines, and this journal will, for the first time, bridge these themes of multi-disciplinary interest.
The transactions will be available in paper and electronic format, and will be subject to the standards of IEEE and OSA with a thorough independent review process. Papers are solicited in all areas of display technology including:

  • Flat panel displays (LCDs, PDPs, OLEDs, FEDs,…)
  • Active matrix display
  • CRTs, VFDs, 3D displays, electronic paper
  • Microdisplays and projection displays
  • Materials and components
  • Optical design
  • Display packaging
  • Lighting technologies
  • Display drivers and interfaces
  • Modeling
  • Display systems and engineering
  • Manufacturing technology
  • Reliability and testing
  • Applications
  • Human factors

The Journal’s inaugural issue is scheduled for September 2005. It will consist of contributed and invited papers covering a wide range of display technologies. The editorial board consists of internationally recognized experts. Widest circulation is assured because ~900 libraries, worldwide, subscribe to IEEE periodicals packages that will contain the IEEE/OSA Journal of Display Technology. Additionally, OSA will include JDT as an offering in its top-ranked Optics InfoBase.
Manuscripts should conform to requirements for regular papers or briefs (similar to those outlined on the inside back cover of the IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology).
Manuscripts can be submitted electronically through IEEE’s Manuscript Central: http://leos-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com. Inquiries can be directed to Linda Matarazzo, Manager, IEEE LEOS Editorial Office, l.matarazzo@ieee.org (phone +1 732 562 3910; fax +1 732 981 1138).
