This is the first time that this conference is being held outside of North America, and the organizers report of a very strong interest in this year's conference. With more than 750 conference contributions received already, from all over the world, it is clear that it will be a very large and a 'very international' event. The Industrial Exhibition will also take on a new dimension in Lyon, featuring all the important industrial partners in the fields of nuclear science and medical imaging, as well as related areas such as real-time computing, controls and design automation.
In addition to an excellent scientific program, including numerous Short Courses and Workshops, there will be many further highlights, both for participants and their companions. Lyon, the second largest city in France, famous for its superb French cuisine, is enchantingly situated along the banks of the Rivers Rhone and Saone and offers an abundance of activities and events to participate in – in addition to the conference-organized events and tours.
