RADIATION EFFECTS ELECTIONS

New RESG Vice-Chair

Dale Platteter, NAVSEA Crane, Radiation Effects Steering Group (RESG) Chairman-elect, announced the results of our recent spring elections. Ron Schrimpf, Vanderbilt University, was elected to a nine-year position on the RESG, which includes consecutive terms as Vice-Chairman, followed by Chairman and Past Chairman. Jim Schwank, Sandia National Laboratories, was elected to a three-year term as Secretary. New RESG committee appointments include Allan Johnston, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as Vice-Chairman 2003 Conference, Teresa Farris, UTMC Microelectronic Systems, as Vice-Chairwoman of Publicity, and Nick van Vonno, Intersil, as Vice-Chairman of Technical Publications. Terms of office begin at the open meeting, held during the Nuclear and Space Radiation Effects Conference in Reno, Nevada, July 24-28, 2000.
