Regional Activities are directed toward
developing and maintaining, through sound administrative practices, an
organization of geographically-defined member units committed to the
advancement of electrical engineering, electronics, computer
engineering and computer sciences, and the allied branches of
engineering and related arts and sciences.
The RAB Strategic Goals are:
- Ensure value to members
- Be a leader in volunteer development
- Ensure vitality and contributions of geographic organizational units.
- Drive IEEE Membership Strategy
- Meet the challenges of a large and transnational organization
- Be at the forefront of communications among members, geographical organizational units and IEEE
- Drive the implementation of the powers reserved concept.
The web pages within Regional Activities are designed
to support the volunteers of geographic organizational units: Regions,
Areas, Councils, Sections, Subsections, Chapters, Affinity Groups,
Student Branches and Student Branch Chapters. These geographic
organizational units provide on a local basis a common forum for the
members to meet and to exchange views on technical, educational,
scientific, professional or other areas of interest.
