If you are an IEEE Member who has received your first professional degree within the last ten years, you are automatically part of IEEE GOLD!

GOLD Sponsors IEEE GOLD Summit 2008 Scheduled for Thursday, 18 September from 1:00pm to 10:00pm and again on Friday, 19 September 2008 from 8:00am to 12:00 Noon, the first IEEE GOLD Summit is scheduled in half-day sessions prior to IEEE Sections Congress 2008 in Quebec, Canada. IEEE GOLD feels the the GOLD Summit event and infusion of young professional members at IEEE Sections Congress 2008 will provide IEEE the knowledge that its young professional members want to be involved in volunteer activities and work in IEEE leadership roles. Each IEEE Region will appoint three delegates from their region to attend the Summit. The GOLD Summit goals are defined as:

Dear GOLD Members, I am honored to be your new IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board (MGA) GOLD Committee Chair for 2008. This is a great opportunity for me to continue to serve the IEEE. This assignment will give me the chance to enhance my leadership abilities, widen my network with MGA leaders as well as MGA Committee members, and the leadership of IEEE as a whole. I am looking forward to building IEEE GOLD into an new level of visibility and growth. |
