Avionics Fiber-Optics and 

Photonics Conference

The avionics industry has made great strides in recent years deploying fiber optics and photonics technology on commercial and military aircraft. This trend will continue to grow as avionics fiber optic system architectures, networking schemes, and components evolve and mature. In parallel with data applications, photonics technology for analog/RF applications will have a significant role in future avionics platforms, providing further impetus. This application-oriented conference will provide a common international forum for leaders, researchers, engineers, and technicians to convene and discuss all aspects of avionics fiber optic component and systems technology and its future direction. Standardization issues for WDM LAN architectures will be addressed. Other areas of interest include aircraft fiber optic and photonic component testing, avionics fiber optic link performance testing, avionics fiber optic systems engineering, and onboard optical system concepts, demonstrations, and real-world deployments.
