FOREWORD
The 27th International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors will be held in Monterey, California. It will continue a series started in Reading, England in 1966. The first 20 symposia were held under the name - Symposium on GaAs and Related Compounds. The present name reflects the emergence of many other compound semiconductors as vital materials for modern electronic and optoelectronic devices.
