Careers and Research Forum
Building a new tradition the 2006 LEOS Annual Meeting is pleased to announce the 2nd “Careers in Research” Forum. This new initiative had a very successful start at LEOS 05 in Sydney, Australia. The Forum will take place on Sunday, October 29th and will include a welcome reception. The forums charter is to promote career awareness among students and young researchers in photonics and related fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Listen to the invited presentations from academia, industry, and entrepreneurs highlighting milestones for achieving success.
- Interact with the highlighted speakers.
- Present poster papers of their research.
The “Careers in Research” Forum is soliciting submissions from students and researchers for poster presentations. In addition to focusing on the results specific to the individual, the posters may also highlight the broader research area of the research group. To be considered the summaries should be submitted as a part of regular papers submission to LEOS Annual Meeting. The guidelines for posters will be published on under “submitting a paper”.
