Optical Fiber & Planar Waveguide Technology

The subcommittee on Optical Fiber and Planar Waveguide Technology solicits papers about recent developments in all aspects of lightwave technology with the exception of systems and active devices. Specifically, the committee is interested in materials, processing, measurements, propagation properties, coatings, cables, fiber and waveguide designs, fiber and waveguide passive components, sensors, special fibers for telecommunications and WDM components, fiber and waveguide amplifiers, and video transmission.
