Topic Areas
Optical Materials and Processing
The subcommittee on Optical Materials and Processing solicits papers on all areas of materials and processing related to optoelectronics, including the processing and characteristics of passive optical elements and the synthesis, processing, and characterization of semiconductor materials for optoelectronics and photonics applications. Emphasis will be placed on the topical areas of epitaxial growth of advanced, integrated or novel materials. Recent results on
silicon photonics, rare earth doped semiconductor materials, plasmonics and metamaterials will be highlighted. Other areas of emphasis include novel device structures, nanophotonics, microfabrication, microcomponents, and advanced materials processing of active and passive optoelectronic components.
