Optical Materials and Processing

The subcommittee on Optoelectronic Materials and Processing solicits papers in all areas of materials and processing related to optoelectronics, including the processing and characteristics of passive optical elements and the synthesis, processing, and characterization of semiconductor materials for optoelectronics and photonics applications. Emphasis will be placed on the topical areas of epitaxial growth of advanced, integrated or novel materials. Recent results concerning the doping and characterization of semiconductor materials doped with rare earths are highlighted. Other areas of emphasis include novel device structures, plasmonics, photonic crystals, microfabrication, and advanced materials processing of active and passive optoelectronic components.
