What is the URL for volunteers to use to access the SAMIEEE program?   The URL is http://www.ieee.org/samieee
Who can access the program?   Access is given to a defined list of Current Volunteers based on the office they hold.   A complete list of this positions can be found on http://www.ieee.org/organizations/vols/samieee/positions.html
Do I need anything special to be able to access the program?   You need to have an established IEEE Web Account.
How do I get a Web Account?   Go to http://www.ieee.org/web/accounts/
How can I access the new SAMIEEE?   As this is a Web Based Query Tool, you will need to use either Netscape or Internet Explorer.  The URL is http://www.ieee.org/organizations/vols/samieee
What if my WEB Account becomes inactive Three failed attempts will disable your password Go to http://www.ieee.org/web/accounts/ to have your account enabled.
Will my Web Account Expire?   A Web Account does not expire.  If your IEEE members dues are in arrears, you will be denied access.
I attempted to log-on and my username and password didn't work Remember that usernames and passwords are case sensitive. Follow the username/password recovery option found at: http://www.ieee.org/web/accounts/
I attempted to log-on with my username and password and received the following error message "You are not authorized to access this site" You may no longer hold a qualified Volunteer Office or Position, your IEEE membership dues are in arrears or your record may not be coded properly in the IEEE database Send an email to samieee@ieee.org if there is a questions regarding your access authorization.  Go to http://www.ieee.org/web/accounts/ if your username and password were not accepted at all.
I recently became an officer, but was denied access into the site. It may take up to two weeks for a current officer to gain authorized access to the SAMIEEE site. Send an email to samieee@ieee.org if there is a questions regarding your access authorization.  Go to http://www.ieee.org/web/accounts/ if your username and password were not accepted at all.
Your position has been reported and you appear in the IEEE Organizational Rosters, but still cannot gain access. You do not hold a position that provides automatic access. Click on http://www.ieee.org/organizations/vols/samieee/positions.html to view a full listing of qualified positions.  If you have further questions regarding your access email samieee@ieee.org with your volunteer position and Organizational Unit.
How accurate is the data?   The data available through the new SAMIEEE program is updated weekly. The system will be unavailable from Monday evening at 9:00PM until Tuesday evening at 9:00PM.
It is not a scheduled outage and the program is down.   Contact samieee@ieee.org.
I attempted access and received a notification of  "too many users". The number of Users able to access the system at one time has exceeded its limit.  The limit is 50. Try logging onto the site at a later time.
Why is the system always unavailable on Mondays? SAMIEEE is unavailable due to weekly maintenance. The data is refreshed every Monday evening beginning at 5:30 PM EDT and is not unavailable until Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM EDT
