IEEE Grant Proposal Submission Procedures
For IEEE volunteers and staff only, please.
The IEEE Development Office is responsible for submitting all grant proposals on behalf of the IEEE.
Prior to submitting a grant proposal to a funding agency, the IEEE unit requesting the funding shall forward the proposal to the IEEE Development Office. The Office will review the proposal for completeness, compliance to the agency's requirements, consistency with the IEEE mission, and the terms of the grant if awarded. The Office will obtain the appropriate approval required according to the Section G of FOM.7, which states:
|
Volunteer/Staff Function |
Grant Proposal Approval Limits |
|
Development & Grants Officer |
<US$25,000 |
|
Member, Management Council |
<US$100,000 |
|
Staff Executive - Business Administration |
<US$250,000 |
|

Once the required approval is received, the Office will submit the grant proposal according to the funding agency's requirements. The Office is registered to submit proposal using online portals such as www.grants.gov and NSF's Fastlane.
If a grant proposal is not approved for submission, the proposal will be returned to the IEEE unit with an explanation of non-approval.
The Development Office is available to assist IEEE units with the writing and editing of grant proposals. Grant proposals are handled in the order in which they are received.
