U.S. Sales Tax Exemptions
The IEEE has been granted exemption from paying sales taxes on purchases made in the following 17 states:
- Colorado (PDF, 647 KB) - not valid for conferences
- District of Columbia (PDF, 129 KB)
- Florida (PDF, 453 KB)
- Kentucky (PDF, 67 KB)
- Maryland (PDF, 61 KB)
- Massachusetts (PDF, 641 KB)
- Michigan (PDF, 605 KB)
- Missouri (PDF, 697 KB)
- New Jersey (PDF, 445 KB)
- New Mexico (PDF, 19 KB)
- New York (PDF, 587 KB)
- Ohio (PDF, 32 KB)
- Tennessee (PDF, 120 KB)
- Texas (PDF, 113 KB)
- Vermont (PDF, 452 KB)
- Virginia (PDF, 300 KB) - cannot be used for meals, lodging, and meeting room rentals
- Wisconsin (PDF, 195 KB)
