EDS Chapter Partners Program
At its May 4, 1997 meeting, the EDS Administrative Committee (AdCom) approved a mentoring program for EDS chapters. All EDS AdCom members are invited and encouraged to be “Partners”. The following is a list of the responsibilities of an EDS Chapter Partner.
EDS Chapter Partners Program Responsibilities:
* Establish a continuing dialogue (via e-mail and/or telephone) with the Chapter Chair
and other members
* Attend yourself or arrange for a lecturer/AdCom member to attend at least one
chapter meeting in two-year period
* Whenever possible, meet with Chapter Chairs/Officers at a regional chapter chairs
meeting scheduled in conjunction with one of EDS' conferences and/or AdCom
Meeting Series.
* Support and confirm with the Chapter Chair the submission of annual chapter
activities to the SRC Chair/Vice-Chair(s) by 1 July, in order to qualify for participation in the annual EDS Chapter Subsidy Program
* Additionally, Partners are asked to submit a yearly report on the chapters for which
they are responsible for. The report should be submitted to the Vice-President of
Regions/Chapters, SRC Officers, Chapter Chair and EDS Executive Office
**Although there is some limited funding through the SRC Program and DL Program all chapter visits should be combined with already planned business travel schedule, whenever possible to keep costs to a minimum. When funding is required, a request should be made to the EDS Executive Office.
The partners will try to combine visits to chapters with their business travel. If necessary, some travel support will be provided by AdCom.
