EDS 50th Anniversary Dinner/Talk Celebration

The IEEE Electron Devices Society celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2002. To commemorate the Anniversary, a special talk, ’50 Years in 50 Minutes’, was given on Sunday, 8 December 2002 during the EDS AdCom Dinner at the San Francisco Hilton & Towers Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
The Dinner/Talk Celebration was hosted by IEEE President and Past EDS President, Mike Adler. Speakers of the ’50 Years in 50 Minutes’ talk were Jim Early, Lew Terman, Dick True, and Jerry Woodall in which they gave an insightful talk on the history of the Society and the Electron Devices field. The presentation corresponded with the EDS 50th Anniversary History Booklet, which was mailed out in 2002 to all EDS members.

EDS Millennium Medal Luncheon

On December 10, 2000, at the San Francisco Hilton & Towers Hotel, San Francisco, CA, EDS held a luncheon to award IEEE Millennium Medals to twenty-two of its members. To view photos from this event please click here
