Chorng-Ping Chang was born and raised in Taiwan. He received a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 1978, and a Ph.D degree from University of California at Berkeley, studying nuclear fusion and plasma physics, in 1985. He was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill, NJ. Currently, he is managing FEOL integration and development in Maydan Technology Center Group of Applied Materials, Inc. He has done extensive research in advanced plasma sources, processing technology, CMOS integration and advanced silicon device architecture.
