William L. Menninger (M'01) received the B.S. degree from Stanford
University, Stanford, CA, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, all in
electrical engineering and computer science, in 1988, 1991, and 1994,
respectively.

Dr. Menninger has been with L-3 Communications Electron
Technologies, Inc. (formerly Boeing Electron Dynamic Devices, Inc. and originally Hughes Electron Dynamics Division), in Torrance, CA since 1994. As a member of the Space Traveling-Wave Tube (TWT)/Linearized Traveling-Wave Tube Amplifier (LTWTA) Modeling and Analysis Group, he is responsible for the development and application of design codes for TWTs, and he designs circuits and components primarily for space communications helix TWTs.
