| The prime objective of IEEE conferences is to provide IEEE members, other individuals and organizations with information and exhibits to assist in the advancement of electrical and electronics engineering and the related arts and sciences (excerpt from IEEE Policy 10.1.1) | ||
| 6.1 IEEE CONFERENCES | ||

IEEE Societies/Councils sponsor/co-sponsor over 300 conferences each year, including technical conferences, workshops, tutorials, short courses and expositions. In addition, IEEE Regions, Section, Chapters provide some type of sponsorship to many conferences. IEEE Organizations Units are involved in almost 200 "topical interest" meetings where they provide non-financial support by granting technical co-sponsorship or cooperation. |

| 6.2 ORGANIZING A CONFERENCE | ||
| Organizers of IEEE conferences have access to many resources and tools from the ConferenceOrganizersWebpage. This page is maintained by IEEE Conference Services and contains the IEEE Conferences Organizational Manual, required electronic forms, sample legal documents, tools and links to various other IEEE information relating to organizing a conference. All conferences shall be held in accordance with IEEE Policies, Section 10. For further assistance, contact Conference Services at conference-services@ieee.org. | ||
| 6.3 IEEE CONFERENCE SERVICES | ||
| IEEE Conference Services supports all IEEE Organizational Units and is the primary contact and source of information in all matters relating to conferences. Staff manages the IEEE Conference Database, which allows them the ability to respond to general conference information requests, generates the Web Conference Search, http://www.ieee.org/conferencesearch/, track conference financials and approvals, provides quarterly reports to Society Officers, assist Societies with conference forecasts, reconciliation reports to the IEEE Controllers Office, auditors. | ||
| 6.4 ADDITIONAL SERVICES OFFERED TO IEEE CONFERENCES | ||

IEEE Conference Management Services (CMS) provides conference management support to volunteers for IEEE sponsored and co-sponsored conferences for a fee.
