IEEE Travel Program

WT   The IEEE Travel Program is intended to facilitate business-required travel, while managing costs and maintaining efficient business processes.

It is mandatory that all employees of the IEEE utilize the IEEE’s corporate travel agency, World Travel, Inc., for travel related arrangements, with the exception of booking air travel on Continental Airlines.   Due to policy changes by Continental, those who book through travel agencies are no longer given full mileage credit, unless they provide the secure CVV code from their credit card.  Because of the sensitive nature of this information, the mandate was removed, and now when booking airfare for Continental Airlines, employees may book directly with Continental, and bypass IEEE’s corporate travel agency.
 
Volunteers are also encouraged to use this service. Due to market segment pricing, IEEE employees residing outside of the U.S. are recommended to utilize World Travel, Inc. when the cost is comparable to those which can be obtained within their country of residence.
