This is the largest hotel in Munich, set in the northern suburb of Bogenhausen, about seven subway stops from downtown Munich. This is a hotel that's hard to ignore, towering as it does 22 stories above the surrounding northern suburbs. On the top floor is Munich's most dramatic swimming pool: You get not only panoramic views of the city and the Bavarian countryside, but a waterfall as well.

About Munich

Munich, the modern metropolis on the banks of the river Isar, is a dream city come true, deep in the south of Germany. With its uniquely laid-back attitude and tolerant cosmopolitan outlook, Munich is always worth a visit!

Airport Ground Transportation

Excellent train service links the airport to Munich’s train station. The S-1 and S-8 lines operate from the terminal directly beneath the airport’s arrival and departure halls. Trains leave every 10 minutes, and the journey takes around 40 minutes. Several intermediate stops are made. A one way ticket costs 8 € or 7.20 € if you purchase a multiple use “strip” ticket (you will have 2 strips left at the end). The train service operates between the hours of 5:00 am to 1:00 am there is also an all night tram and bus service operating between main routes in the city

The city's rapid-transit system is preferable to trams (streetcars) and certainly to high-priced taxis. The same ticket entitles you to ride the U-bahn (subway/metro) and the S-bahn (rapid transit), as well as trams and buses. The U-bahn, or Untergrundbahn, is the line you will use most frequently; the S-bahn, or Stadtbahn, services suburban locations.

At the transport hub, Marienplatz, U-bahn and S-bahn rails crisscross each other. It's possible to use your Eurailpass on S-bahn journeys, as it's a state-owned railway. Otherwise, you must purchase a single-trip ticket or a strip ticket for several journeys at one of the blue vending machines positioned at the entryways to the underground stations

In that time, you may interrupt your trip and transfer as you like to any public transportation (including trams and buses, which usually take over where the U-bahn comes to an end), as long as you travel in one continuous direction. When you reverse your direction, it will cost you two more strips.

Terminal location of hotel: Bogenhausen

Train service to get to the hotel is the U-bahn: U4 to Arabellapark

The bus service is slower than the S-bahn link (9 € one way, 14.50 € roundtrip)

Taxi from the airport costs around 50 €. During rush hours (7:00 am – 10:00 am and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm), allow up to an hour of traveling time.
