2. Can I e-mail IEEE articles to other authorized users?
No, we do not allow the electronic transfer of any portion of the licensed material.

3. Do I have to sign a new license agreement every year?
No. The agreement will be renewed upon payment of the annual fee within 30 days prior to the expiration of the initial term or any renewal term

4. What is IEEE's archival policy?
Upon termination of an online subscription, the subscribing institution (Licensee) may retain the right to use in archived form the content of the Database for the years in which Licensee subscribed provided that Licensee (i) continues to adhere to its obligations with respect to security and restrictions on usage as stated herein and/or in the then current license agreement; (ii) pays all costs associated with providing the Database content to Licensee on a mutually agreeable media type; and (iii) continues to limit access to the content of the Database to Authorized Users at the Authorized Sites or via Remote Access.

5. What is the IEEE’s definition of an authorized site?
An authorized site refers to those locations listed in the license agreement that are permitted to access the licensed content. Institutions that have more than one physical location located more than five (5) miles from another location, may incur additional charged to access the licensed products. Groups of buildings that share the same campus or are located within five (5) miles of each other will be counted as a single site.

6. Does IEEE provide usage reports?
The IEEE will provide nonmember institutional customers with usage statistics upon request. Usage statistics may also be viewed online at the IEEE’s Usage Statistics Website. Contact your Account Manager for details and / or to request a username and password.

7. Do I need to have a license agreement signed and on file before my access starts?
Access to your subscription will begin immediately. The IEEE will negotiate in good faith with any customer for a period of ninety (90) days after the initiation of your subscription. If the signed license agreement is not on file within 90 days after the start of your subscription, your access may be suspended until all outstanding items are resolved.

8. How many simultaneous users are permitted?
All ASPP Online and POP Online agreements come with 5 simultaneous users. Regular IEL Online agreements come with 15 simultaneous users; however, you can purchase additional simultaneous users. Contact your Account Manager for more details.

9. Does the IEEE subscribe to the doctrines of “Fair Use”?
The IEEE subscribes to a specific set of use permissions that are outlined in our license agreement. For a copy of those use permissions please contact the IEEE sales administration department at salesadmin@ieee.org.

10. What if I need to add or remove IP addresses from my account?
Please have an authorized representative from your organization (traditionally the person who signed the license agreement) fill out the IP Amendment Form and e-mail it to salesadmin@ieee.org.

11. Does the IEEE allow the use of Proxy Servers?
The IEEE will allow the use of Proxy Servers provided that access through the Proxy is to authorized users only.

12. How does the IEEE define “Authorized Users"?
“Authorized Users” are (a) persons affiliated with Licensee as students, faculty or employees of Licensee; (b) persons physically present in Licensee's facilities; or (c) such other persons as IEEE may, at the request of Licensee and in IEEE’s sole discretion, authorize in writing to access the Licensed Products.
